Distinguished Speaker Series

Welcome to the SCIoI Distinguished Speaker Series (DSS), a series of talks by prominent academics from the world of intelligence research. Our cluster of excellence is a hub of interdisciplinary research, encompassing advanced research projects and extensive educational programs, including doctoral and master’s tracks and a diverse array of outreach activities. Our DSS lectures, open to the public and free of charge, delve into the intricacies of intelligence from different perspectives, and our invited speakers bring their unique insights and experiences to our community fostering academic exchange and inspiring innovative thinking.

Distinguished Speaker Series 2022

Two distinguished speakers walk us through different areas of intelligence by exploring motor memory and the universal nature of learning. One presentation introduces a novel theory of motor learning based on contextual inference, while the other presents an extended functional definition of learning.
