Aravind Battaje

Aravind Battaje is a roboticist with a background spanning computer vision, machine learning, optimization, neuroscience, and autonomous systems.
He joined SCIoI as a doctoral researcher in October 2019 under the supervision of Prof. Oliver Brock.
Before coming to Berlin, Aravind received his M.S. from Georgia Tech, where he worked with Byron Boots on the perception system for AutoRally, an experimental platform for aggressive autonomous driving. He had previously worked as a computer vision engineer on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems at Robert Bosch.
At SCIoI he studied robotic interactive perception and how motion, visual input, and the environment shape perception in robots and humans. His doctoral thesis examines how these interactions can support robust and adaptive behavior.
