Sebastian Pohl is a student assistant in Project 45A („Modeling Neurogenesis for Continuous Learning“). After studying philosophy in Heidelberg and Oxford with a focus on the semantics of natural and formal languages he is now doing an MSc in computer science at the Humboldt University of Berlin. The topic of his bachelor thesis, supervised by Professor Alan Akbik, was the trade-off between learning and forgetting in the continual pre-training of language models.
