What is Intelligence? In new episode of podcast “Exzellent erklärt,” Oliver Brock talks about intelligence and SCIoI

Since 2021, the podcast “Exzellent erklärt – Spitzenforschung für alle” has made it its goal to report regularly from each of the 57 the Clusters of Excellence funded by the German Research Fund (DFG). In every episode, podcaster Larissa Vasilian holds a conversation with one or more cluster researchers, and the topics are as diverse as they are relevant for our society. African studies, the future of medicine, the “microverse”, politics, literature, the ocean, chemical catalysis… and, this, month, intelligence science, with an exciting interview with Oliver Brock.

Our ability to grasp the principles and types of intelligence will influence the course of science, technology and society in the coming decades, and this episode, titled “Was ist Intelligenz?” focuses on this fascinating and often misunderstood topic. Throughout the episode, Oliver Brock and Larissa Vasilian discuss the various facets of intelligence, from IQ tests to emotional and physical intelligence to biological and artificial intelligence.
