Join the “Excellent Pub Quiz” at the Long Night of the Sciences 2026!
Back by popular demand: team up with your friends (2–4 people), come up with a fun team name, and put your knowledge to the test at the Excellent Pub Quiz hosted by Berlin’s nine Clusters of Excellence at HU Berlin. Exciting prizes await!
Get ready for a quiz night like no other — with brain-tickling questions from across the Clusters’ diverse research areas: chiral electronics (Center for Chiral Electronics), early disease detection (ImmunoPreCept) applied mathematics (MATH+), intelligent systems (Science of Intelligence), sustainable chemistry (UniSysCat), political theory (SCRIPTS), material innovation (Matters of Activity), brain science (NeuroCure), and global literature (Temporal Communities). There’s something for every kind of science fan!
The quiz will be held in two rounds (in German), each lasting about an hour and featuring different questions inspired by current research. Join one or both — the choice is yours!

No need to register in advance – just arrive early to secure your spot. Last year, over 120 participants across 28 teams battled it out for the top spots. This year, too, the top three teams will take home fantastic prizes courtesy of the Clusters of Excellence.
