Florian Blume

Florian Blume is a computer scientist with a focus on machine learning and computer vision.
He joined SCIoI as a doctoral researcher in March 2020.
Florian obtained his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Technische Universität Dresden in December 2019. His main focus was on working with deep neural networks for pose estimation and biological image denoising.
At SCIoI, he was a member of Project 8 and carried out research on knowledge-augmented face perception. His doctoral thesis explores AI systems that recognize and generate facial expressions like humans do by incorporating contextual information (such as speech and text) into facial expression recognition.
