Science of Intelligence performs well at the 22nd Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5×5 km Team Relay

Berlin, 9 June, 2023 – The annual Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5x5km Relay is not just a thrilling race, but an event that brings together participants from various backgrounds and promotes teamwork. Five SCIoI members took part in the race and finished on place 1030 out of 4300 participating teams!

The Berliner Wasserbetriebe 5x5km Relay is a popular annual race that brings together diverse participants, including corporate teams, scientific groups and running enthusiasts. In this team-building exercise, five individuals work together, with each member completing a 5-kilometer track before passing the baton to the next runner. This collaborative approach fosters unity, and team spirit within the group. For our scientists it is also a great way to engage and connect outside of their immediate research circle.

This activity, which also included a picnic in the park, was coordinated by SCIoI’s Team Advancement Committee (TAC). The TAC organizes regular team events for early-career researchers in order to foster networking, an essential part of the interdisciplinary research environment at SCIoI.
