Rolf Struikmans is an electronics engineer. He has worked eight years at the German Aerospace Center, DLR on the development and testing of several satellite instruments for the detection and characterisation of exoplanets. In the Netherlands he has worked four years at the Space Research Organisation of the Netherlands, SRON on the development and testing of the Herschel near infrared telescope. He has six years of working experience at the Utrecht university medical center in the development of electronics systems to facilitate experimental research. At SCIoI he develops and maintains the research infrastructure.
