Niki Katerina Vavatzanidis has a background in cognitive, medical and auditory neuroscience. During her PhD and postdoc she tackled the question how hearing and language develops after an extended period without input, by observing the development of deaf children with cochlear implants, a neuroprosthesis that stimulates the auditory nerve with electric pulses. At SCIoI, Niki, together with Mathis Kaiser, is the go-to for neurophysiological studies. They can support you along the entire scientific chain (scientific writing, grant and scholarships applications, scientific presentations, project management), and support the general research infrastructure.
