Niek Andresen received his B.Sc in Computing in Science in 2015 from the University of Hamburg, and completed his M.Sc in Computer Science at TU Berlin in 2019. He is currently a doctoral student at SCIoI, where he is researching intelligent behavior in mice. His project entails observing mouse behavior during “Lock Box” exercises, in which the animals try to open doors with lock mechanisms. Among other things, Niek works on the 3D-design and printing of the Lock Boxes, manages camera setups, and performs video analysis through deep learning and behavior modeling.

At SCIoI, Niek is working on Project 03, “Mouse Lock Box”.
