Postdoctoral researcher


Johann Chevalère is psychologist working on cognitive and emotional processing in normal and pathological populations. After a PhD focusing on executive functions in intellectual disabilities at the University of Bordeaux (France), he has been a teaching assistant and spent a year at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) investigating working memory strategies. More recently, his research has embraced a socio-cognitive approach to study the effectiveness of computer-assisted instruction at Clermont-Auvergne University (France). At ScIoI, his work is devoted to the development of a cognitively and emotionally adaptive intelligent tutoring system (Research Unit 1, SCIoI Project 06). The objective is to help optimize learning situations by providing students with relevant pedagogical strategies tailored to their emotional states and learning performances.
